This is a recipe that varies only slightly from what is said to be the OG recipe from 1911 at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore – or alteast what was left of the original recipe after their big fire. Here it is:
Singapore Sling
1 oz Old Tom Gin (sweeter variety like Hayman’s)
1/4 oz Benedictine
1/4 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Cherrry Heering
1/2 oz Lime Juice
3 oz Pineapple Juice (reduced by 67% from original recipe)
1/2 oz Grenadine (Boiled variety)
Shake and Strain over fresh ice. Add lime and mint garnish (Pineapple if you have it)
If you use a london Dry Gin, add 1/4 oz more Grenadine for sweetness.
